Beyond the words...

I've always believed that words matter. They shape the way we understand one another, the stories we tell, and the way we see ourselves.

My career has taken me through broadcasting, copywriting, proofreading, editing and teaching, but the thread connecting all of it has remained the same: helping people discover their unique voices and communicate with clarity, confidence and authenticity.

I've written for BBC Radio 4, worked behind the scenes on books, collaborated with businesses to develop their voice, and helped students discover that English isn't simply a subject to pass—it's a way of thinking, persuading and understanding the world. For me, language is a world of infinite possibilities, and I hope my own fascination with it is something my clients and students come to share.

In 2018, I had a major stroke that affected my speech, my writing, my work and, in many ways, my raison d'être.. My faith in—and passion for—language became deeply personal. Rebuilding my speech and writing reminded me that language isn't something we can take for granted. It's one of the things that makes us who we are.

Today I bring that perspective to every project, whether I'm editing a manuscript, writing website copy, helping a student understand Shakespeare or working with someone to discover the voice that's been there all along.
